Job Description We are recruiting a CCMB Team Leader to carry out a project in the Lisbon region.
The professional will be responsible for the following tasks: Direct Line Management of CCMB Team; Responsible for project, management and execution within the CCMB together with the Project coordinator; Responsible to support the SGS network and the global technical team directly or via the Global Molecular Development Manager in topics such as equipment/ method choice, validation, training, laboratory set up and other molecular technical governance activities; Link with other SGS molecular centers for best coordination of development efforts on a case by case; Ensure technical and quality consistency of SGS molecular offering; Ensure that development of methods /kits from the CCMB are possible to be replicated across the network; Work with the global team to raise visibility of the CCMB internally and externally.
Qualifications For this position, we are looking for a professional with the following profile: PhD in Molecular Biology with min 5 years' experience in laboratory with molecular biology technologies with minimum of 1 year experience of managing projects and/ or teams or Master's degree in molecular biology with min.
10 years' experience in laboratory with min.
2 years' experience as Project Manager for research and business development projects; Specifically These Responsibilities Are To: Identify and/ or evaluate: Development of test methods, test kits to satisfy international recognized best; New developments in terms of technical feasibility and resource; Contributing to a CCMB development roadmap including financial evaluation of project costs and rough calculation on ROI; Participate and keep updated the Global Food Technical Committee for the food molecular technical development; Evaluate with Global Food Technical team the applicability of molecular testing approaches as opposed to other non-molecular testing approaches (eg.
IRMS, Chromatography, etc.)
