Job Description Mission As a Frozen & Codfish Category Manager at MAKRO, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our category management strategies to deliver the best assortment to our customers. You'll be responsible for analyzing market trends, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing product assortments to meet customer demands. Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape. Utilize market insights to drive category strategy and product assortment decisions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for product procurement, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards are met. Optimize product assortments across various channels and customer segments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement category-specific strategies. Monitor category performance metrics, including sales, margin, and inventory turnover. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth. Develop and implement action plans to achieve financial targets. Lead product launches and promotional strategies. Work closely with Stores, Sales, Marketing, Pricing and Supply Chain teams to align category strategies with overall business objectives. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards. Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to product quality, supplier relationships, and market dynamics. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to foster professional growth and development within the team.
