The Category Manager will assume strategic leadership for their segment/brand. This position requires a high level of teamwork and- functional interaction, with all departments. Key deliverables include analyzing & organizing the market data, identifying market opportunities and developing new products, range and product optimization. Partner in this role will become consumer expert within their segments/brands. The success of this position will be measured by variable income for segments/brands within the partner's control. Role & Responsibilities:Market expertiseResearch and analyze market dataPresent category recommendation to the customersIdentify key competitors and consumer trendsArticulate market requirements and opportunitiesIdentify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements, including packaging solutionsWork with research team regarding product developmentStore-checks and analysis of prices, innovation/launches, recipes. Project Management of Product DevelopmentWorking with R&D and Quality departments to determine product specificationsDefine the long term strategy of the product and create product road mapPrepare product documents including Market Requirement Documents and product use specifications to drive product activityDetermine product packaging solutionsCoordinate the projects of product developmentManage and communicate with cross functional teamsWork closely with the European teams to analyze the plant capabilities and costumer needsKey Ingredients:Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's in Maketing, Sales, Economics, Business Administration or related field3 to 5 years of experience within Sales/Marketing in FMCG companiesEnglish and Portuguese fluency and intermediate spanish are requiredAbility to gather, analyze and interpret consumer data and apply learnings to drive resultsWork effectively at all levels and network across the organization to build relationshipsLead- functional teams and develop project plans, including management of both internal and external resourcesBe a strong team player within the sales team and across functional areasHave a strong- orientationAttention to detail and strong sense of rigor.
