Category Manager (Capex)Job Summary
The Category Manager reports to the VP Capex Procurement & Project Engineering and is responsible for assisting sourcing activities for the capex procurements department. In Logoplaste, the Capex procurement categories are divided into different processes, i.e., Polythene extrusion, PET Blowing, PET injection, Auxiliary, Downstream, etc. An addressable spend of approximately 60€ (mio), based on the 2019 spend. This role drives procurement excellence across these categories globally (all regions) and ensures day-to-day interaction with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply of quality equipment. This role is also responsible for ensuring that the central systems and information databases are maintained up-to-date, provides support to all users on using this system effectively, and continuously seeks ways to ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures throughout the organisation.
Key tasks & ActivitiesSourcing: Establishment and implementation of global and regional sourcing strategies for the allocated categoriesData analysis and market research to evaluate Logoplaste's position in the marketDevelopment and internal alignment of key strategy measuresSetup of supplier panels based on strategyDeployment of strategy into the regionGeneration of synergies and savings using bundling and leveragingHarmonization of processes, tools, and suppliers across the regionManage capex procurement: Management of complex RFQsPreparation of quote comparison (cost factor analysis, commercial analysis)Lead supplier negotiations for commercial and contractual aspectsPreparation and execution of sourcing committeesAlignment of joint decisions between all project participantsClient Relationship Management with internal stakeholders and local buyers in the plantsDatabase and Policies: Manage and maintain CPPE department's data systemsEnsure policies and procedures are kept up to date and shared with relevant stakeholdersMaintain Sharepoint pages and internal PRCapex procurement: Maintain high levels of service to internal Logoplaste partiesEnsure internal KPIs are maintained for reaction and accuracy of RFQsCommunication within Logoplaste and external on-going projects and task requirementsWho we are looking for…Background and Experience: Degree in mechanical, polymer, or electrical engineeringBetween 5 and 10 years of experience in manufacturing or automationPrevious experience focused on downstream and automation equipment as he/she needs to assist with the downstream sourcing, challenging suppliers and assisting in line design with suppliers and our technical teamTechnical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft ExcelEnglish language proficiency (mandatory)CIPS Diploma (optional)Knowledge of SAPKnowledge of AribaInterpersonal Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insightsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesStrong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with suppliersLogoplaste is an equal opportunities employer, where the foundation of our culture and our drive is based on Diversity & Inclusion.
