Requisition ID 3909 - Posted - Portugal - Porto Join Our Mission to Improve Lives Worldwide The Accounting & Tax Specialist is a full-time position in the Finance Department, based at Bial Headquarters in Porto and reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting & Tax – Europe & RoW. This role is responsible to guarantee an accurate and reliable taxation/accounting records of the operations and reporting, as well as monitor and support the Group's international affiliates.
The Impact You'll Make
• Prepare and file tax returns (CIT, VAT, among others);
• Assist in the preparation of the mandatory transfer pricing documentation;
• Conduct periodic reviews of the transfer price policies in place and propose more tax efficient approaches;
• Assist in tax inspections:
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and ensure that internal processes are compliant.
• Assist in the accounting process, which may involve recording journal entries, account reconciliations, and completing monthly and annual closings.
• Perform analytical review of the accounts of the group's companies;
• Monitor and support the Group's international affiliates local team/partners in accounting and tax functions;
• Provide accounting and tax insights during the setup process of new operations.
What You'll Bring • Degree in management, economics or similar areas;
• 2-3 years of experience in similar functions (Tax and Accounting);
• Previous experience in "Big Four" (preferential factor)
• Strong knowledge of taxation procedures;
• Good analytic skills;
• Results oriented and accountability;
• Dynamic with a positive attitude;
• Good communication skills and fluency in English (mandatory);
• User experience with IFS or other ERP software is valued.
