Offer Description UNINOVA – Instituto de Desenvolvimento de Novas Tecnologias opens an international call to hire a Researcher, in the form of an Unfixed-Term Contract for the Research Project "INFRACHIP: European Research Infrastructure on Semiconductor Chips" funded by the Horizon Europe Programme.
Admission Requirements/Profile of the Candidate: Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Materials Engineering, Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences, Physics, Chemistry or similar areas, duly registered and/or recognized in Portugal and meet the following requirements:
Experience in clean room techniques suitable for flexible electronics, including thin-film deposition, patterning and etching tools;
Experience in (opto)electronic device fabrication and characterization (e.g., thin-film transistors, sensors, memristors, solar cells);
Experience in laboratory management, preferably in clean room environments;
Demonstrated capabilities to work in interdisciplinary research teams;
Fluency in English (writing, understanding and speaking).
Job Responsibilities: The work will involve:
Support evaluation of external user project proposals for the INFRACHIP consortium;
Assist external users in building project proposals for implementation at UNINOVA;
Enhance services offered by UNINOVA in flexible electronics research;
Lead the clean room management team, organizing user training, service management, and tool maintenance;
Support the Communication office in disseminating INFRACHIP services;
Prepare deliverables and project reports related to the above tasks.
Start Date and Workplace: The employment contract will tentatively start in January 2025 and will last for an estimated duration of 36 months. The work will be developed at UNINOVA and other necessary locations.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates will be evaluated in two phases: Curriculum Analysis (85%) and Motivation Letter (15%). The final classification will be based on a scale from 0 to 20 points.
