Knowing our technology helps to make the world a better and safer place is what drives us.Job Description This position, located in Lousado (Portugal), is a new position in our local Manufacturing Technology Engineering Department.The main purpose of this new position is to create competencies and resources to increase the knowledge in Controls & Drives (C&D), robotization/digitalization and the ability to develop equipment/technology at Continental converters plants and also to ensure cybersecurity activities to mitigate the risk of machine breakdowns at the shopfloor level.Main activities includes:Ensure that the IPCs from the machines are updated with the software's (including updates) and requirements defined by the central IT;Follow up robotization projects and subsequently carry out the necessary interventions to keep them in operation;Adapt equipment and systems to integrate them into the new digitalization processes;Perform backups, upgrades and modifications to the necessary production equipment;Contribute to ensure that the shopfloor is cybersecure.Qualifications University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field of studies;Minimum experience of 2 years in Industrial environment in Controls & Drives areas;Technical knowledge of Controls & Drives and Industrial Software Programming (eg. TIA Portal / PLCs / ...), IPC Management, Network & IT Systems is valuable;Ability to solve problems, plan and organize actions;Good communication and teamwork skills;Initiative and proactivity;Resilience and enjoyment of working in a multidisciplinary team;Good knowledge of MS Office;Solid knowledge of the English language.Additional Information Please send your english application (CV and motivation letter) until june 19th, 2024.Ready to drive with Continental?
