Together with a selected network of Partners, we generate new knowledge from harmonized datasets, augmented with the collection of longitudinal patient-reported data and patient-generated digital biomarkers within a secure and privacy-preserving environment. We deliver valuable insights to leading health systems, payers and life-science companies across multiple therapeutic areas, including cardiometabolic, oncology, and immunology. Operating in 10 countries, we promote better healthcare at lower costs for thousands of new patients every day through the use of Real World Evidence.
What's our purpose

Why do we get up in the morning? Well, most healthcare professionals have chosen to work in healthcare driven by their desire to make a difference in patients' lives. And so have we! We have chosen to follow this calling by addressing the biggest problem in healthcare: the lack of real-world evidence on the outcomes of care.

The Momentum

We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for Portugal to help us expand our Evidence Partners network in the Country, and create additional value for our ongoing clients.
You will work closely with both the CEO and the Head of Business Development & Sales, reporting to the latter.
What you'll be expected to do
Build a thorough understanding of our solutions and value proposition
Prospect, engage and acquire clients in all 3 verticals addressed by Promptly – Life Sciences Companies; Payers; Healthcare Providers
Manage and own the end-to-end sales cycle, working from lead generation through close
Continuously look for improvements in sales cycles efficiency
Support the execution of our Land & Expand strategy through highly scalable global framework agreements
Lead all aspects of deal execution, from acquisition strategy, proposal building and T&C negotiation to drafting and reviewing contracts
Navigate procurement and legal processes at prospective clients in an efficient manner
Work through deal considerations in collaboration with Delivery (aka Customer Success) – namely in the outlining of the SoW – Legal and Finance teams
Efficiently handover clients/ contracts to Delivery, Account Management and Finance teams
Collaborate with Marketing & Comms in building demand generation and customer acquisition
Synthesize the voice of the customer and convey it internally to Product and Product Marketing teams
Qualifications And Work Experience
Background in Business Development and/or Sales with a leading healthcare related business
Extensive sales experience in healthcare or life sciences environment
A consistent track record of exceeding aggressive deal targets
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, particularly in English, is absolutely mandatory
Highly valued
Prior healthcare-related SaaS, and/ or Enterprise Analytics and/or data sales experience
Strong contacts in the leading companies in Life Sciences Companies and/or Payers and/or Healthcare Providers
Strategy background that enables high value, consultative business development approaches
Prior experience working in a startup environment and awareness of the organizational challenges when scaling from 30 to 200+ employees
Personality and behavioral traits
You hold deep empathy for clients, and you are strongly deal closing oriented. You are bright, self-starter with relentless energy and positivity, and passionate about being part of a nascent and mission-driven project in healthcare. You have the ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building and the flexibility to manage differences of opinion within the team. You are a good communicator, and you are excellent at establishing contacts and building relationships. You privilege an analytical approach and an ability to identify the strategic dimension of the issues.
You are ambitious, enjoy taking ownership and are constantly working to improve your skills, and you're not afraid to constructively challenge. You are willing to hustle to get things done in a fast-paced environment.

What is the recruiting process like
There is a first interview with your future manager and/ or seasoned team members to get to know you and to give you an overview of Promptly and of the job you are applying to
Afterwards, you will undergo a technical assessment stage in which you will work on a test task or solve a business case. Depending on the position, it might be sent before the interview
In same exceptional cases, a third interview might take place. Don't worry if this happens. It's because we have a good opinion on you, but there might be something we still need to get clear
Finally, you will get your offer and hopefully you'll accept it!
