Offer Description A position is now open for the attribution of one Research Grant (BI) for the Be.Neutral - Mobility Agenda for carbon neutrality in cities, Project n.º 35, financed by the European Union NextGeneration through the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (RRM) and the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), on the following conditions:
Work Plan and Objectives to Reach: The work to be developed will consist of research and development of software solutions for asset management, in particular:
Research in the field of Interoperability and software architectures
Design, implementation, and testing of asset management platform components
Design, implementation, and testing of interoperability components with third-party systems
Documentation and presentation of results related to the developed solution
Scholarship Duration: this scholarship will last for 12 months, from December 2024.

SCIENTIFIC AREA: Engineering and Management Information Systems
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must hold a degree in Information Systems Engineering and Management or related areas. At the date of the respective hiring, candidates must prove enrolment in one of the following courses:
Master's Degree/Integrated Master's Degree (in a field related to the one requested in the announcement);
Masters enrolled in courses that do not confer an academic degree, integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution (e.g. postgraduate courses, advanced studies, specialized training in an area related to that requested in the announcement).
Priority will be given to candidates with knowledge/experience in:
Knowledge of software architectures and solution design
Knowledge of software development processes
Knowledge in using GIT for version control
Knowledge of software development using PHP
Knowledge in specifying and developing REST APIs
Knowledge of relational database technologies: SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
Reading, writing, and speaking technical English
Dynamism, proactivity, and a high sense of responsibility.
Additional Information Amount of the Monthly maintenance subvention: The amount of the scholarship will be €990,98, according to the table of values of the scholarships awarded directly by the Portuguese National Funding Agency for Science, research and technology (FCT) – online available at research grants values.
Eligibility criteria:
Applicable Legislation: The grant award is based on the Scientific Research Scholarship Statute, approved by Law No. 40/2004 of 18th August and the Research Grant Regulation in force of the Portuguese National Funding Agency for Science, which is the one adopted by the Centre of Computer and Graphics.
Selection process:
Selection methods: The evaluation will take into account the candidate's merit, considering academic course, curricular profile and experience in scientific research, mainly in the scientific fields of specialization related with the requirements defined in this fellowship's position offer.
Candidate selection will be divided into two stages. While a former stage involving curricular evaluation (60% of the total value) will aim a preliminary screening, a latter one will consist of an interview (40% of the total value), with the goal of producing an ordered list of candidates, in which the selected person occupies the first position, according to the selection criteria previously specified. The jury reserves the right to cancel the call if none of the candidates meets the required qualifications.
Publication/Notification of Results: The final results of the evaluation will be available through a sorted list posted in the front desk of the Centre of Computer Graphics, and the selected candidate will be notified by email.
Deadline and Complaint Procedure: In case of an unfavorable result, candidates have a period of 10 working days to complain, in accordance with article 12 of the FCT Research Grants Regulation, I. P., no. 950/2019, of December 16, 2019.
