What's the job?
As a DSP (Downstream Processing) / Bioprocess Simulation Specialist, you will be a crucial member of our bioprocess development team.
You will apply your expertise in DSP operations and bioprocess simulation tools to design, model, and optimize downstream processes for precision fermentation and microbial cell cultures.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in developing scalable, cost-effective workflows that enhance our production efficiency and meet the demands of a dynamic, high-growth market.
Responsibilities Collaborate with R&D, process engineering, and production teams to develop and optimize DSP workflows for fermentation-based production.
Utilize bioprocess simulation tools (e.g., SuperPro Designer, Aspen) to model processes, analyze data, and improve production efficiency.
Design and test DSP strategies, including filtration, chromatography, centrifugation, and other purification techniques, to meet target yields and purities.
Conduct scale-up studies and simulations to ensure reproducibility and scalability of downstream processes.
Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with DSP methodologies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay up-to-date with advances in DSP and bioprocess simulation to incorporate the latest methodologies and best practices.

The successful candidate should ideally possess: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biological Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (PhD is a plus).
Proven experience with bioprocess simulation, including DSP methods such as filtration, chromatography, and centrifugation.
Proficiency in bioprocess simulation software (e.g., SuperPro Designer, Aspen).
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, ideally with experience in scaling processes for industrial applications.
Ideally, knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance for bioprocessing.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
