Your field of work includes: The Head of Department is responsible for the planning, coordination and monitoring of the entire IT network infrastructure in the BFDN department of the Berlin Fire Brigade.
Your tasks will include:
Planning and monitoring the budget for the department in coordination with the main department head Creating and managing duty rosters, including on-call times Negotiating and concluding contracts with external service providers Troubleshooting the networks to be supported Determination of requirements and tendering of procurement processes You bring with you: Completed university degree (Bachelor's or comparable university degree) in the field of information technology or comparable and at least three years of practical experience or
Relevant completed vocational training in the field of information technology and corresponding several years of activity of at least 5 years in the IT area with management responsibility or
comparable equivalent skills, knowledge and experience Other skills and requirements:
Knowledge of network architectures, network technology, network components in LAN and data centers is required Basic knowledge of project management, procurement law, contract design, quality management and financial management Must be willing to undergo a level 2 security check Proficiency with various analysis and administration tools, e.g. CheckMK, Cisco DNS, PRTG, Wireshark Desirable:
