Whether you're preparing drinks exactly as our guests want or serving them delicious food, you'll be devoted to creating relaxing, memorable experiences.People•Creating a warm and welcome to everyone and setting the tone for each guest's experience•Prepare and serve drinks to high standards, and highlight promotions to guests•Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments;•Perform other duties as assignedFinancial•Set up your bar – stock up on all the supplies you'll need, manage your inventory and make sure all your equipment works;•Receive payments and process transactions according to established policies and procedures; give correct change; document voids on void balance sheet.
Close checks to correct guest's room account;•Follow established script to encourage up-selling.Responsible Business•Look after your bar – keep it clean and tidy and make sure the alcohol is always secure;•Empty trash receptables and clear tables as required;•Check the working condition of equipment and machinery in accordance with specifications;•Report to supervisor all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment, safety hazards or any other maintenance and repair needs;•Adhere and implement all HACCP measures and procedures.Guest Experience•Creating a warm and welcome to everyone and setting the tone for each guest's experience;•Answer the telephone as per brand standards.
Efficiently and professionally handle multiple incoming calls at once;•Articulate and repeat each order to the guest before hanging up.
Use guest name and title and give guest the approximate time of delivery;•Correctly enter all pertinent information of an order including special items;•Prepare beverages requested by customers.
Adhere to established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs.
Coordinate food service with restaurant for bar guests if applicable.•Monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers; check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable;•Alert management of any service and/or safety issues.
Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction;•Welcome guests and respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner.Requisitos mínimos•Fitness – you'll be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling•Strength – sometimes you'll need to lift, push and pull big objects like barrels and crates up to 50lbs (23 kg)•Literate – you'll need a good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths•Flexible – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job•Experienced – you'll know how to prepare a wide range of drinks.
Ideally with formal bartending training•Compliant – as well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, you'll be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language•Articulate – a great communicator, you'll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
