Backup Administration Service is in charge of managing the daily backups of the distributed perimeter servers in order to ensure data security and handles: - requests related to backups or restore operations in compliance with SLAs - backup incidents - disaster recovery tests This perimeter needs to provide 24/7 support, essentially for restore purpose.
The Backup Engineer participates in projects in the production phases of application developments.
It ensures the proper functioning of the applications under its responsibility taking into account the availability of resources .
He can also help define the technical components of the IS and manage changes.
Its role is to advise, assist, inform, train and alert.
Missions: Participate in Operators' projects under the guidance of the Project Director and/or Project Manager of BPCE Managed Services and Technologies in the production phases of application developments Ensure availability of technical resources Analyze and correct incidents in level 2 Implement technical incident resolution solutions.
Perform diagnostics to identify causes of malfunction, propose and implement fixes and solutions.
Analyze the operational risks and customer impacts of its area of responsibility Manage environments (definition of needs, validation of development and acceptance environments, monitoring) Provide advice, assistance, information, training and early warning on integration (definition of IS components, steering of implementation and guaranteeing the required level of quality).
Participates in the definition of usability requirements on his area of responsibility and, where necessary, interfaces with experts in other areas and manages exchanges with suppliers.
Define the standards and rules for proper management of operating systems and systematically check their application (IT security, quality, etc.).
Contribute to the reliability, security and security optimisation in his area of responsibility Propose innovative solutions to improve the performance of its field of activity Ensure the right level of service quality in line with the requirements of Service Contracts (SLAs) in their area of responsibility Specificities for integration activities Participate in the production of information system evolutions Establish operational preparation files, manufacture or upgrade components, test them individually and ensure that the results comply with the technical specifications Integrate the solution or hardware and/or corrective maintenance into the repository and ensure the availability of components Guarantees the proper completion of backups and archiving on a daily basis and proactively controls their completeness Handles backup incidents thoroughly and with great responsiveness in conjunction with the teams responsible for the servers and the system teams Handles the various requests related to backups in compliance with SLAs Restoration requests (taken into account within 2 hours) Requests for backups or archiving Requests for modification of backups or archiving Requests for deletion of backups or archiving Sets up dashboards for activity monitoring, KPI management Ensures continuity of service through the implementation of on-call and on-call duty Pilots platform reconstruction tests at the request of application managers Qualifications Main Technical Requirements: Technical knowledge of Windows and Linux RedHat OS required, AIX knowledge desired Knowledge of backup and archiving concepts and technologies Technical knowledge of backup tools: Rubrik, Spectrum Protect (ex TSM) and robotics Technical knowledge of scheduling tools: VTOM and Control-M Proven interpersonal skills (exchanges with other application teams, systems teams and customers), rigor and strong sense of service.
