At ISS, as a Backend Engineer with a background in IoT, you will be instrumental in turning our vision of smart, responsive buildings into reality. Your expertise will drive the design and implementation of IoT solutions that transform conventional facilities into intelligent ecosystems, enhancing both operational efficiency and occupant experience.
You'll work closely with diverse teams—developers, engineers, facility managers, and customers—to ensure our IoT systems are not only technically robust but also user-friendly. Additionally, you will oversee the IoT deployments across multiple sites and regions, helping to standardize facility technologies on a global scale.
Your efforts will have a direct and lasting impact on how ISS redefines facility management in the digital era, creating smarter, more efficient, and responsive environments for facility managers worldwide.

Your Day-to-Day Journey at ISS Tech Portugal:
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C# in a cloud-native AWS environment.
Design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and efficient solutions on AWS infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and create robust backend systems.
What makes you a great fit:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on C#.
Exposure to cloud architecture and AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway).
Self-motivated and a passion for backend development.
Adaptable and proactive, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
Good communication skills; allowing free communication with the international environment (written and verbal).
