Stefanini is hiring Portugal-based data architects experienced with Azure and Databricks , to join one of our clients.
This is a full remote role that requires advanced English fluency .
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based data architectures using Azure , Databricks , Power BI , and other cloud-native technologies. The Data Architect will play a key role in building scalable data solutions that empower analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.
You will ensure robust, secure, and optimized data architectures, facilitating seamless data flows across the organization, supporting real-time analytics, and driving data-driven decision-making.
Role Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable data architectures on Azure using Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and other Azure services.
Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalable for growth.
Define data models, data integration processes, and data storage solutions that support both batch and real-time data processing.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data strategies and architectures.
Lead efforts to implement data governance, security, and compliance protocols, ensuring adherence to data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Work with data engineers and cloud architects to optimize data pipelines and workflows, using tools like Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric for unified analytics.
Oversee the integration of data sources into reporting and analytics platforms like Power BI, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable insights.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency of cloud data solutions.
Job Requirements Required skills:
7+ years of experience in data architecture and design, with expertise in Azure cloud services (Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks).
Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory for ETL processes, Databricks for data transformation, and Power BI for data visualization.
Expertise in data modeling, data integration, data warehousing, and database management systems.
Experience with cloud-native tools and services for large-scale data management , including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Deep understanding of data governance, security, privacy regulations, and best practices for cloud-based data solutions.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages such as Python, Scala, or R.
Demonstrated ability to design solutions that integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from various sources (API, IoT, flat files, databases).
Familiarity with diverse BI and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) for delivering insights to stakeholders.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and other data unification platforms is a plus.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Architect Expert or Databricks Certified Data Architect.
Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics workflows within Databricks or Azure ML.
