Automation Engineer

Job DescriptionIn the Conti Machinery (CM) complex, tire building and special machines are developed, manufactured and brought into service worldwide.As an Automation Engineer, the person will be responsible for:Planning, drafting, programming and calculating the control software for manufacturing systems and machines as well as their components with the focus on automation technology; Optimizing and adapting the control technology of machines and systems to best meet production requirements; Start-up of machines andmanufacturing systems: check of the software and machine functions in-house and worldwide in our customer plants.QualificationsUniversity degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, IT Systems or related studies; 2 years of experience inan industrial environment (preferable); Knowledge in automation programming (Beckhoff / Siemens) and field bus; Specific knowledge of PLC programming and Safety PLC programming; Know-how in machine safety regulations; Knowledge in the area ofdrive engineering and motion control; Robotics background (ABB, KUKA); Strong Portuguese skills(fluent or native - mandatory); Strong English skills, written and spoken (B2); Willingness to travel worldwide.Additional Information#J-18808-Ljbffr
