Job Description Summary
The Protection Engineer specializing in electrical substations is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of protection systems that ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power distribution and transmission network. This role involves developing protective relaying schemes, conducting system studies, and performing fault analysis to mitigate risks associated with electrical faults. The engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with standards and regulations, while also optimizing protection settings and coordination among devices.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Be part of the technical team for digital protection for substations up to 400kV
Be a specialist in the MiCOM Agile and Multilin Protections range
Contribute to panel design review, protection studies, settings calculation, and configuration of Digital Protections.
Acquire knowledge of IEC61850 and IEC 62439 standards
Participate in acceptance testing activities (Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing - FAT, SAT).
Acquire skills in a project environment at a technical level, in terms of the quality of the work performed and in compliance with the planning and execution deadlines.
Understand and comply with the highest standards of quality, Environment and Safety management at work.
Qualifications / Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering degree or similar
Proficiency level in Portuguese and English
