We act courageously and are uniquely positioned to be a source of stability in a world of evolving healthcare needs.Viatris empowers people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life.Access – Providing high quality trusted medicines regardless of geography or circumstance;Leadership – Advancing sustainable operations and innovative solutions to improve patient health; andPartnership – Leveraging our collective expertise to connect people to products and services.Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here's how the Assistant Manager, Statutory Accounting & Controlling role will make an impact:Key ResponsibilitiesMonth End and Group ReportingManage the close for various legal entities under US GAAP for reporting to Corporate at each month end.Resolve any issues which arise during the close, review the accounts in their entirety for accuracy prior to Group Reporting.Provide support to the transaction GL team as required during the close on accounting technical areas (royalties, TPAs, intangibles etc). Ensure the entire close (AR, AP etc.) are completed in line with the reporting timetable.Prepare and approve any balance sheet reconciliations under scope for the statutory and controlling team.Ensure all Blackline reconciliations and tasks are prepared and reviewed by the due date.Statutory Reporting, Internal and External Auditors and TaxationProduce statutory accounts under local GAAP for review by the Account and Controlling Lead along with all workings and notes to the accounts.Manage interim and year-end statutory audits from planning to completion.Be the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure the audit for the entities is progressing with the GL, AR, AP and Indirect teams in the transactional GIS centres.Work with internal auditors to ensure the entities are always in compliance with statutory regulations, SOX and relevant internal policies.Produce company secretarial submissions where required.Prepare all workings required for the Tax filings.Work with the Accounting and Controlling Lead to ensure Corporation tax compliance filings and payments deadlines are met.Calculate tax provisions on a quarterly basis.Project ManagementParticipate in the process and systems standardization and automation initiatives.Participate in the business integration and integrated ERP implementation projects.Minimum QualificationsEducated to a degree level and with a Professional Accountancy qualification.Preferably Big 4 trained in Audit Department.Prior management skills would be an advantage.Fluency in English.Knowledge of a third European language would be an advantage.Confidence and ability to work on own initiative.Knowledge of local GAAP and US GAAP is a distinct advantage.Strong IT skill set, with ability to analyse large data files and use SAP and Hyperion systems.Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines managing multiple priorities.A "can do" attitude is essential.
