Nacelles R&D is a part of Vestas Technology & Operations, which is the cornerstone of Vestas. Through innovation, development, and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future.
The Hub Module is a part of Nacelles R&D and has sites in Denmark, India, and Portugal. The module is fully responsible for the competences, design, specification, and documentation of the hub. This includes design and analysis from the early concept study for new turbines to the final specification for production. Additionally, we are also looking ahead to verify new technologies such that these can be part of future turbine project. The Hub team is also providing technologies in the areas of hub design and service.
You will join a very international team, that is in India, Denmark, and Portugal. The team support each other and take great pride in developing the best solutions. Responsibilities
Responsible for developing solutions in collaboration with other HUB Sub-Modules
Design validation plan and execution
Build ISM (site specific solutions) process inside the module and ensure it is supported by design guidelines
Fast and accurate answers to question / requests from ISM (site specific solutions)
Improved handling time of ISM requests (site specific solutions)
Responsible for providing robust, reliable, efficient design solution with highest performance (i.e Quality and lowest cost across the value chain)
Develop 3D-CAD design/models, 2D drawings and bill of materials based on design specifications
Fast and accurate answers to question / requests from different stakeholders
Collection of improvement suggestions and best practices from a broad range of global stakeholders
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in within engineering, production, supply chain
Experience in analytical calculation and FEA, ANSYS (Workbench)
Experience in 3D modelling and 2D drawings, PTC Creo Parametric preferred
Experience with PLM software, PTC Windchill PDMLink preferred
Experience with Jira or other Planning tool
Competencies
Good skills in English, both written and verbal
Capture engineering requirements, define and control project scope with deliveries on time and with Quality
Good problem-solving skills
Good understanding about ECM (Engineering Change Management) and it's impacts across the value chain
Creative approach to new opportunities, a natural ability for innovation and thrive with varied tasks and constant changes from day to day
Result oriented with a solid focus on the task and to be able to meet the deadlines with the right quality
