Job Description
The Assistant Electrician functions and responsibility shall include, but not be limited to:

Assist the Chief Electrician in the planning and execution of maintenance and operational work within the electrical section.
Familiarize oneself and comply with all regulations and work procedures.
Ensure that critical or special work is not undertaken without a Work Permit signed by the Chief Electrician.
Execute assigned tasks in conformance with safe working procedures, as instructed.
Keep all tools, equipment, workshop, and stores in good order, maintaining records and inventories of stores, and advising the Chief Electrician of necessary requirements.
Advise the Chief Electrician of potential hazards, deficiencies, and non-conformances observed, as well as completed jobs and outstanding details, if any.
Always use the correct PPE equipment provided.
