Description:
Context:
The ArGis technical expert works on the critical applications of Risk P&C CATNAT (Natural Catastrophes) perimeter, in an international context.
GAIA (product) is a group solution for Natural Perils risk management. It provides entities with technical capabilities at point of underwriting (mainly scoring, pricing rates, and exposure accumulations management). It is a key tool to steer technical excellence on the major Cat risk. The application is based on ArcGis software and uses HERE geocoding APIs.
The technical expert works both on BAU and projects and is directly in contact with GRM (Group Risk Management).
Responsibilities:
Analyze business needs and propose technical solutions to answer the need (both for projects and BAU).
In case of issues: investigate, propose workaround (if possible) and implement/test corrections.
Participate in operational committee with GRM team members.
Develop, test, deploy and document the implemented solutions, in respect with AGO guidelines (DevOps, CI/CD + security guidelines).
Ensure maintenance of applications already live.
Collaborate with architecture and security teams for new implementation definition.
Support users.
Technical Skills:
Experience with software development (ideally: geoanalytics, ArGis from ESRI editor).
Experience in Java, JavaScript, and Python development.
Experience on best practices in terms of architecture design (AD, Storage, Managed services, etc.).
Strong knowledge on security and implementation of security in IT applications and infrastructures.
Experience with large volume/optimization.
Rigor and excellent level in algorithmics.
Good experience in using APIs.
Good knowledge of cloud frameworks (Azure batch, serviceIO, etc.).
Be keen about security when coding.
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud.
Good experience in developing CI/CD pipelines.
SQL.
Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile and DevOps methodologies.
A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with a minimum of 7-8 years of professional experience.
Hybrid model: 2x a week in Lisbon.
