About the Role
As a Business Controller, based in Madrid, you'll play a key role in driving financial transparency and maximizing revenue within our Logistics & Services (L&S) operations. You'll be a trusted partner across teams, ensuring financial clarity, driving profitability, and contributing to Maersk's strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities: Drive profitability transparency for inland multicarrier operations at shipment, customer, and Area levels, handling complex scopes.Ensure compliance with financial controls and foster a strong focus on revenue assurance and standards.Bridge upstream processes and financial controls as a key member of the Finance team.Identify revenue leakages, implement corrective measures, and optimize financial KPIs with low backlogs.Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze data, manage accruals, and support profitability analysis and margin reviews.Influence process changes to improve Area performance and ensure accurate reporting.Conduct risk and compliance assessments, addressing deficiencies and supporting audit resolutions.Support new system implementations and upstream process improvements, maintaining financial control throughout.Proactively mitigate risks and enhance decision-making for sustainable business growth.We are looking for: A results-driven professional with strong analytical and logical thinking skills.Experience in stakeholder management and the ability to influence without direct authority.High attention to detail and a strong understanding of L&S processes.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field.Familiarity with tools such as TMS, JDE, SAP, FACT, or BW is an advantage.A team player who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
