.Offer Description We are seeking a highly motivated technician to support and assist in the operation and services of the Champalimaud Fish Platform. The selected candidate will join a dynamic and detail-oriented team with a strong team spirit. Duties and Responsibilities - Maintenance of recirculating aquaculture systems for multiple freshwater fish species and related equipment; - Monitorization of water quality; - Maintenance of live feed cultures; - Crosses, housings and embryo care; - Larval rearing;- Record keeping; - Fish health checks;- Technical assistance to researchers; - Other tasks relevant for the maintenance and development of high scientific and animal welfare standards. Skills/Qualifications - Experience in recirculating aquaculture systems; - Personal animal experimentation license; - Prior work in a research environment.This is a full-time position requiring the ability to prioritize efficiently and multitask, without compromising attention to detail and record keeping. The postholder will be asked to work within an on-call rota and to adjust daily duties according to the needs of the Platform. The ideal candidate will be organized, responsible, committed, and a team worker. Strong logical skills are also required.
