Together, we are driving progress forward in a #OGJSROLE PURPOSE The Local AP manager is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable team based in Porto and provide support to the AP Tower Manager.
As Local AP manager, you will support the transformation of the AP function (and to some extent contribute to the transformation of the "Purchase to Pay End to End" process) to become a strategic Business Partner, ensuring the proper development / animation of AP KPIs, looking at opportunities of automation, process improvements and process re-engineering.
The Local AP Manager will have to drive collaboration and alignment between Supply Chain and Accounts Payable resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Process Responsibility Lead, supervise, train and mentor an AP team in Porto Review and approve payment, meeting specific requirements to ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
Define, apply, and maintain standardized processes and policy.
Monitor standardized KPIs to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of the global accounts payable function.
Support the change process, driving continuous improvement through enhanced cost effectiveness and the pursuit of service excellence.
Support the innovation, identifying the opportunities of process automation.
Assist with the development and execution of AP SLA (service level agreement).
Drive collaboration between Supply Chain & Payables and related organizations focusing on process and workflows.
Evaluate data to identify business opportunities and risks Ensure a strong internal AP control environment.
Effectively communicate results to management.
Willingness to challenge the status quo and perform all tasks with an emphasis on developing automation and efficiency.
Prepare ad-hoc analysis at the request of management.
Management Responsibility Manage the Accounts Payable team.

Participate in recruitment and train new team members.

Maintenance of policies and procedures Builds and maintains relationships/synergies with the other stakeholders JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field 15+ years of experience in management of Accounts Payable within a shared services center Process improvement / Process Re-engineering skills.
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Experience with global ERP systems, IFS is a plus.
Strong knowledge on the application of accounting tools and IT systems Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Fluent English Operational Excellence Good understanding of how accounts payable process fits into overall finance process and service delivery Good understanding of internal controls & risk management.
