Offer Description Application is open for the award of 1 Research Scholarship under the Rehabilitation Research Centre Unit through institutional own revenues, under the following conditions:
1. SCIENTIFIC AREA Biomedical Engineering; Bioengineering; Physiotherapy or a related area.
2. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS General requirements:
The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree, being enrolled at the date of contracting the scholarship, in a postgraduate course, in an integrated master's degree or master's degree in the specified scientific area, or related area.
Candidates who are not yet registered may apply, and the granting of a scholarship is subject to the existence of a valid registration within six months from the date of communication of the approval in the scientific evaluation.
Candidates who have obtained the degree abroad must have the degree recognized in Portugal, and the conversion of the respective final classification to the Portuguese classification scale.
Preferred factors:
Knowledge and experience in the evaluation of the human movement system using biomechanical instrumentation and biological signals;
Experience in research projects in the area of rehabilitation;
Good interpersonal relationship.
3. WORK PLANE Collaborate in the research activities of the Centro de Estudos de Movimento e Atividade Humana with regard to:
Support for the use and maintenance of optoelectronic systems, inertial measurement units, dynamometers, ergometers, biological signal measurement systems, in particular electromyography, and indirect calorimetry;
Support in the preparation of applications for new projects.
4. APPLICABLE LEGISLATION AND REGULATION Law No. 40/2004, of August 18, amended by several decrees.

5. DURATION AND ACTIVITY REGIME 8-month scholarship contract, possibly renewable for periods of 6 months, on an exclusive basis, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
6. AMOUNT OF MONTHLY MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE The amount of the grant corresponds to €990,98 , paid monthly, plus the reimbursement of the voluntary social security.
7. METHOD OF SELECTION AND COMPOSITION OF THE JURY The selection method will be in accordance with the following criteria:
Curriculum and academic and scientific course evaluation (25%): Affinity of curriculum training with the themes of the work plan.
Assessment of skills and experience in the area (50%): Scientific publications and technological production.
Interview (25%): Fluency and ability to communicate, including English (mandatory).
Candidates may be excluded from the competition on the following grounds:
Not meeting the mandatory requirements.
Scoring less than 9.5 in any of the assessment components.
Lack of attendance for the interview.
