What you'll do Collaborate with QA engineers and Android developers to understand the root cause of different defects. Test applications extensively on automotive physical hardware prototypes as well as on emulators to troubleshoot any potential issues. Execute tests focusing on software usability, compatibility, and functionality across multiple environments. Review open bugs by testing across multiple environments to determine if the issue is app or system-related. Analyze test results to identify patterns or specific conditions under which bugs manifest. Extract and analyze logs from Android environments to discover possible causes of bugs. Utilize and update existing documentation to suggest possible fixes/solutions for identified issues. Report findings with comprehensive details, including descriptions, screenshots, videos, and logs, ensuring clear communication of issues and potential fixes. Work efficiently to meet weekly quality and quantity targets. RequirementsMandatory
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills. Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a critical-thinking mindset. Ability to manage tasks autonomously and prioritize effectively. Proficient in using Android Studio and familiar with various ADB commands for comprehensive Android application testing. Experience in analyzing and interpreting logs from different Android environments. Demonstrated expertise in using JIRA and Confluence for task management and documentation. Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies and their employment in a software development context. Nice to Have
2-3 years of experience in a software development or QA role, preferably with exposure to the automotive industry. Knowledge of Android automotive development and Diagnostic Log and Trace (DLT) tools. Proficiency in testing Android applications across diverse platforms and environments. Experience with automation tools like Appium for efficient testing processes.
