Our farm, approximately 15, 0835 ha in size, consists of 6, 000ha of tropical forest, 2835ha of swamps, and 7500ha of to be agriculture land, with cocoa as the main crop, in consorum with other crops and forestry.Role Description and Main Responsibilities:As an- forestry project manager you will be responsible for ensuring all farming operaons, relevant reporng and budgetary requirements meet a high sustainable standard, while leading a team to ensure best pracce procedures are always maintained across all aspects of the business;Lead on the design and implementaon phases, providing technical advisory on planning, irrigaon, farming, and budgeng that are appropriate to management;Establish local partnership with local NGOs, farmer cooperaves and other (non-governmental) stakeholders, and work closely with relevant actors in the agriculture value chain;Repairs & Maintenance of machinery and faming implements;Coordinate acvies with other Mota-Engil group companies to maximise efficiencies;Ensure all work pracces and processes are consistent and in line with Mota-Engil sustainability and SHEQ guidelines;Report directly to the COO, will work in close collaboraon with the Technical Director who will lead and guide the project regarding its agriculture technical component.Experience and Qualifications:Master's degree preferably in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management or Agronomy (or relevant other such as business management, economics, engineering, etc. );Experience in planning, budgeting, management, controlling of large projects involving high number of FTE's;Desirable 5-10 years of professional experience in intensive farming operations including crops, soils, nutrients, equipment, and machinery; Experience in the practices, principles and operations associated with modern, sustainable production agriculture and irrigation; Expertise in large scale irrigation management and technologiesDriving license (cat. B);Fluent in Portuguese and English language;Excellent organisational skills overseeing day to day operation. A- on approach on overall farming activities is essential;Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
