The ADF Service Consultant is a role that assists our Consultants in the development and support of production application software. This includes assisting with troubleshooting issues, customizing existing software code, writing new software code, testing and debugging modifications, and ensuring appropriate documentation is generated for software code wherever necessary for OLR. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting our Service/Senior Service Consultants with communication with clients by providing support as neededUnderstanding and knowledge of the ITIL framework (understand the difference between an Alert, Incident, Problem, Service Request, and Change)Ensure Product vendor and OLR development standards are met in all coding practicesAssist in maintaining the OLR software development environmentDocument or maintain general retail, Products, and/or OLR specific practices and standardsAssist in defining application enhancements and modificationsKey Responsibilities Develop and implement ADF Business ComponentsDevelop and implement the ADF View Controller components, including Tasks Flows, Beans and JSF pagesSupervise tasks performed by other team members to ensure a cohesive, qualitative approachPlay a key role in backlog Refinement and estimatingReview existing solution build – recommend and perform performance tuning and debuggingUnderstand the difference between a bug fix and an enhancementRequired Skills and Experience Fluency in EnglishProfessional approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated sense of urgency and willingness to provide exceptional customer serviceHigh degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detailAbility to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude under stressful circumstancesAbility to maintain confidentiality when dealing with proprietary informationStrong ability to proactively identify and resolve issuesGood time management skillsAbility to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organizationRetail domain knowledge is essential, with knowledge of Oracle Retail (RMS) desirableMust have experience in: Oracle ADF, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, Weblogic, LINUX, UNIX, JDeveloper, Java, J2EE, Gerrit and JiraStrong experience in performance tuning of ADF also preferableEducation and Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field3+ years of related experiencePrevious consulting experience preferred
