Accounts Payable and Receivable SpecialistLisboa, Portugal
Are you ready for the next step in your career? The Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the money that flows into and out of our company. You will be handling bills and invoices that we receive from vendors or suppliers and ensure these bills are accurate, organized, and processed.
You will also be responsible for tracking the money that the company is owed from customers or clients. This includes sending out invoices, following up on late payments, and ensuring that payments are received in a timely manner. We are looking for a good communicator who can work with customers on payment arrangements and resolve any issues that may arise.
What you will be doing You will directly manage the financial transactions of our company and contribute to the financial health and success of our organization.Each day brings new challenges and tasks, from processing invoices to resolving payment discrepancies to negotiating payment terms.You will interact with a wide range of vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.You will be working in a dynamic, international environment, collaborating with entities based in several countries in Europe.You will report directly to the CFO (based in Switzerland) and work closely with our Accounting Manager (based in Lisbon, Portugal).Workplace This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely for 2 days per week. The workplace is in Lisbon, Portugal.
Who are we looking for? University degree (accounting background preferred);1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable;Understanding of basic accounting principles (including knowledge of debits and credits, accruals, and accounting cycles);Experience in invoice processing, vendor management, and reconciliation;Proficiency in accounting software platforms and compliance knowledge;Effective communication and problem-solving skills;Attention to detail and organizational skills;Conversational proficiency in English.
