Accounting Trainee

Descrição As a Junior Accountant your primary responsibility will be to support the mid-level accounting management to ensure that the daily tasks are up-to-date, updating general ledgers, documentation keeping, supporting reconciliations (including banks, accounts payable and accounts receivable).
Funções a Desempenhar What you'll be doing:General Ledger Accounting Support:- Integrate AP Invoices, confirming that they are according to the budget expectations and accounting policies;- Support Bank Posting and Reconciliation;- Support Revenue Accounting;- Support Balance Sheet Reconciliations- Review if all AP documents booked in Portugal are saved in physical folders- Responsible for keeping all the statutory documentation is saved physically and virtually; Documentation Keeping:- Document the accounting team processes Accounts Payable:- Identify discrepancies and work with AP to solve them Accounts Receivable:- Aging analysis;- Support reconciliation of open items with the operations team Analytics:- Supports getting information to build ad-hoc reports Requisitos Necessários What you need to have:University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or any related field;Knowledge of SNC (Sistema de Normalização Contabilística);Fluent in English (written & spoken);Fluent in Portuguese (written & spoken).
Requisitos Opcionais What we would love to see:Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis;Analytical Skills;Excellent attention to detail;Problem-solving mindset and resilience to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
