In this context, the Körber Group is creating an Accounting Shared Services Center in Porto with the aim of streamlining the accounting processes and delivering high quality accounting services to the companies of the Group. During the first 6 months of this assignment, you will take responsibility for the accounting of two Portuguese entities. After that period, this role will be transitioned into a Record to Report (R2R) Accounting Specialist for the upcoming Accounting Shared Services Center. As one of the first joiners, you will play a key role shaping the R2R process from the beginning. Responsibilities: Accounting Role (first 6 months) • You take responsibility for the preparatory accounting for two Portuguese entities as well as the accounting and end-to-end preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements • You manage accounts payable (incl. travel expenses), accounts receivable and handle invoicing and general ledger.• You will prepare and execute payment transactions• You will check regular reconciliation of accounts and manage clarification of open items• You prepare financial statements and coordinate the auditing of statements and reports.• You drive the professionalization and automation of accounting processes, including the introduction of digital solutions and tools.• You are key user and active sparing's partner of our ERP system (SAP).• You will be the main contact person with the Portuguese Accounting Association and Fiscal Authorities.• You will manage preparation and submission of main operational tax reports such as VAT, VIES, SAFT, COPE, IES, Modelo22, etc…• You will also provide support for a variety of controlling, treasury, tax, and HR-finance topics. 2. R2R Accounting Specialist (after 6 months) The R2R Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the general ledger and supporting the overall financial reporting process of Körber. In particular, the responsibilities will include, among others: o Ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.o Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts.o Assisting in the month-end and year-end closing processes.o Preparing and delivering accurate financial reports to management.o Ensuring compliance with local and international financial reporting standards.o Assisting in the development of accounting policies and procedures.Execute tasks according to the deadlines and KPIs defined by the organization and Process Management. In addition, this specialist role will support Process Management in the continuous process improvement towards standardized processes and procedures in the R2R area.Ensure close and fluent communication with the companies receiving services in order to support with ad hoc tasks and solve issues promptly and effectively. Your Profile:After training as an accountant or achieving a comparable qualification, you gained several years of professional experience in accounting and the preparation of financial statements (annual/quarterly/monthly) You are a strong team worker and integrative communicator with quick comprehension and an analytical and structured working styleYou enjoy working independently and hands-onYou combine a process-oriented approach with experience in designing accounting processesYou enjoy a modern, paper-less, and digital working environmentYou possess strong SAP, and MS-Excel skills, knowlegde of HGB as wekk as knowlegde of tax law would be an advantageYou are fluent in English language (German would be a nice to have) You are a registered Accountant with the Portuguese Accounting Association ( OCC) We are Körber – an international technology group with about 12,000 employees, more than 100 locations worldwide and a common goal: We turn entrepreneurial thinking into customer success and shape the technological change.
