The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing our accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, and supporting various financial functions to help drive our company's growth.Key Responsibilities:Organize and manage accounting processes for recording transactions.Reconcile bank and third-party accounts to ensure accuracy.Collaborate internally and externally to maintain accurate accounting information.Assist in the execution of daily accounting tasks.Aid in the preparation of monthly financial reports and closing of accounts.Verify the trial balance in accordance with accounting and tax standards.Analyze and propose measures for internal control improvements.Support the process of submitting tax returns.Perform accounting and reporting tasks in line with defined processes, standard operating procedures and work instructions, update process documentations as required.Execute period end tasks for assigned entity(ies), perform reconciliation and clearing of accounts, report actuals in reporting system on timely manner and meeting quality targets.Secure compliance according to internal procedures and legislation.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.At least more than 5 years of experience in the field.Additional accounting certification is a plus.Experience in working with IFRS and local standards is a plus.Knowledge of Portugal accounting standards and processes (Mandatory).Experience in multinational corporations accounting systems and ability to consolidate the financial reports (nice to have).Knowledge of Dutch accounting processes and standards (Preferably).Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.Proficient in accounting software (Netsuite Oracle mandatory) and Microsoft Office.Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Languages: Portuguese and English (fluent), other is an advantage.Personal Competencies:Strong communication skills.Mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving - being able to work with limited guidance and able to determine information needed to resolve more complex issues, manage pressure effectively and cope well with setbacks.Taking ownership of assigned responsibilities, including self-study/research needed to execute the same.Being able to work to tight deadlines and with switching priorities.Proactive and creative in terms of improving ways of working.Team player.We offer:Competitive remuneration package.Hybrid model of working – based in Madeira (nice to have).International exposure and opportunity to learn from accounting experts.High performance through teamwork, with collaborative spirit across the organization at all levels.Inspiring purpose being the driver of everything we do.
