What role will you play?
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting and Compensation Specialist with a strong interest in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, and Compensation country-specific to join our International Finance and HR team. This role provides a unique opportunity in a small team to gain hands-on experience in both Compensation and HR coordination, as well as core accounting, financial planning, and treasury operations.
This position is based in Porto area, Portugal
Accounting & Reporting
Maintain accurate financial records and assist in balance sheet management
Create sales orders, purchase orders, and calculate commissions for sales staff
Process accounts payable/receivable and manage invoice processing
Assist with cash management, including cash flow monitoring and forecasting
Support month-end/year-end close processes and reconcile general ledger accounts
Manage banking relationships, daily account activities, and treasury reporting
Analyze financial statements, prepare budgets, and develop financial models
Prepare financial documentation for audits and assist with legal document review
Calculate and report KPIs for the Board and Investors, supporting strategic decision-making
Global Compensation and Benefits
Oversee the payroll operations across multiple operational countries, ensuring timely execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage the monthly payroll variables and liaise with international payroll providers for accurate processing.
Provide responsive support to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
Consolidate global compensation data and provide insights into the cost-effectiveness of various compensation structures and benefits packages
HR Coordination
Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees and support the administration of the benefits programs, including health insurance, pension plans, and any other relevant benefits
Ensure the seamless flow of HR data by updating internal HRIS with accuracy and completeness.
Ad-Hoc Tasks and Projects
Lead diverse projects independently, including Employee relocations, International incorporations/registrations
Implementation of new finance tools.
