We have an incredible opportunity for an Accountant to join our SDO team in Lisbon. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. This position involves ensuring accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate a smooth closing process.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR? Lead daily general ledger tasks, including managing journal entries, accruals, provisions, and account reconciliations, with precision.Ensure accuracy by reviewing and posting ad hoc journal entries based on team input.Keep SAP systems up to date by maintaining pricing lists and monitoring intercompany (IC) prices.Take ownership of scheduling, posting, and reconciling recurring IC charges, resolving any open items.Manage exchange rates, currency valuations, and annual carry-forward balances to ensure accurate records.Drive month-end and year-end closing processes by maintaining task lists, schedules, and reconciliations.Produce accurate financial statements and support data consolidation efforts.Ensure compliance by maintaining thorough documentation and supporting audits with timely data.Proactively identify and correct errors in manual journal entry requests to ensure accuracy.Foster collaboration across teams, including Finance, AP, and AR, to streamline workflows and resolve issues effectively.Attend learning activities and seek valuable insights from senior colleagues and team leads.Participate in S4 HANA functional and technical training sessions.WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED? Total relevant finance experience of 1-2 yearsKnowledge of SAP S4 HANA and financial software, proficiency in ExcelKnowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards, GAAP and IFRS principlesAttention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlinesFamiliarity with shared service center operations is a plusStrong communication skills and attention to detailsWHAT IS ON OFFER?
