Amazon Freight is a newly launched external-facing freight service by Amazon. It allows both small and large businesses to use Amazon to transport products in bulk across Europe. This is an innovative technology-driven service currently growing rapidly in Europe. Amazon Freight is part of the Amazon Transportation Services organization responsible for many of Amazon's best-in-class logistics and transportation operations.

We are looking to hire for a Munich-based Account Manager position, responsible for nurturing and growing our existing portfolio of shippers through relationship building, engagement activities and ensuring a great shipper experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building this new function and should be highly analytical, customer obsessed, have experience in a commercial role, be able to work efficiently with internal stakeholders and be ready to roll up the sleeves to grow this business.

Key job responsibilities Nurture and grow an existing portfolio of SMB-sized shippers and achieve volume goals with best-in-class service
Maintain a high level of engagement from our shippers through consultative account management, and proactively identify the challenges they are facing
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the portfolio as well as internally
Be the voice of the customer to guide product development and iterations
Identify and lead new commercial initiatives to solve customer pain points and improve shipper experience
Lead by example and coach other team members to ensure success as a team

A day in the life
You'll be based at one of our corporate sites. You'll stay close to every part of the shipping process which means you have visibility of everything to guide our shippers. You'll look after all elements of our partner relationships, from getting the contracts in place, cross- and upselling new services to keeping track of performance.

This role is all about clear communication. You'll be in daily contact with the partners you manage to make sure they have everything they need to carry out deliveries on time.

About the team Amazon couldn't deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you'll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you'll help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions. They are key to making Amazon more innovative and efficient. We put safety first as our people are our priority.

Amazon Freight (AF) is a B2B-startup within ATS in Europe. Amazon Freight allows external business ('shippers') to use Amazon's transportation technology and network to transport products in bulk across Europe. We aim at fulfilling shippers' needs reliably with the world's most advanced freight network and pioneering technology in a socially responsible way.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience in business development, partner development, sales or alliances management
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and German

Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Advanced proficiency in an additional language (written and verbal) such as Mandarin, Italian or French
