Who we're looking for:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Director to join our dynamic VML team. In this pivotal role, you will be the strategic lead and day-to-day manager for a portfolio of key healthcare clients, driving their success and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of client engagements, from strategic planning and creative execution to financial performance and team leadership.
What You'll Do:

Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary strategic lead and day-to-day contact for your clients, building trusted relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring their overall satisfaction. Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing business and deepen partnerships.
Strategic Direction & Creative Excellence: Develop and implement comprehensive account plans that align with client objectives and drive measurable results. Champion a digital-first approach, foster creative innovation, and stay abreast of industry trends to deliver impactful solutions.
Financial Performance & Account Growth: Take ownership of account profitability, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and contribute to overall business growth. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to expand service offerings and deepen client relationships.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of account professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and supportive work environment. Provide clear direction, delegate effectively, and support the professional growth of your team members.
Project Management & Communication: Oversee the successful execution of all client projects, ensuring seamless workflow, adherence to deadlines, and delivery of high-quality deliverables. Maintain transparent communication with clients, providing regular updates and proactively managing any challenges.

What you'll need:

Proven experience as an Account Director within a healthcare communications or advertising agency setting.
A strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, including regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements.
A digital-first mindset with experience developing and executing integrated campaigns across various channels.
Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a proven ability to build rapport, trust, and long-term partnerships.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for translating client needs into actionable solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
A proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
