Offer Description Founded in 1968, the University of Limoges is a local university on a human scale that trains more than 16,000 students and employs more than 1,800 permanent staff. This research project focuses on the development of a bio-inspired procedural generation technique for electromagnetic components. This work allows for the automated synthesis of structures capable of controlled interactions with incident waves, guiding the growth of components to meet multiple coupling and radiation constraints.
This research project concerns the development and exploitation of a new technique for the bio-inspired procedural generation of electromagnetic components. This work enables the automated synthesis of structures capable of controlled interactions with incident waves, guiding the growth of components to meet multiple coupling and radiation constraints.
This research project focuses on the realization of proofs of concept in K and W bands, demonstrating through the automated design of numerous components the diversity of fields potentially impacted.
Missions The aim of this post-doctorate will be to explore the synthesis of electromagnetic bandgap media, as well as the synthesis of 3D anisotropic media.

XLIM is a multidisciplinary research institute, located on several geographical sites, in Limoges on the sites of the Faculty of Science and Technology, the ENSIL, Ester-Technopole, on the University Campus of Brive and in Poitiers on the site of the Futuroscope Technopole.
XLIM federates a group of more than 440 teacher-researchers, CNRS researchers, engineers, technicians, post-doctoral and doctoral students, and administrative staff.

PhD in the field of electromagnetism
Fluency in English
Publications in international journals on subjects related to the research project

Skills:
Strong programming skills: MATLAB or Python (current codes in MATLAB)
Solid experience of electromagnetic simulation tools (we use CST)
Good synthesis and communication skills
Practical experience in conducting RF measurements and characterizations
Practical experience of 3D printing
Advanced knowledge of linear algebra and related numerical techniques
Languages: ENGLISH Level Excellent
