Offer Description A call is open for the allocation of 1 (one) Research fellowship to a doctoral student or master enrolled in a non-academic degree (BI) course, within the scope of the Research Project entitled "New Space Portugal", financed by the PRR Portugal, taking place at the Department of Aerospace Sciences of the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, under the following conditions:
Scientific Area: Aeronautical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
Objectives: Preparing content for the creation of a micro-credential in Space Propulsion for training at master's level.
Work plan:
Plan the work;
Review of the state of the art of propulsion concepts and systems for space launchers, satellites and spacecraft;
Define the teaching contents to develop and their formats of presentation;
Prepare a report with the teaching contents;
Elaboration of digital presentations with the teaching contents.
Workplace: The work will be carried out at the Department of Aerospace Sciences at the University of Beira Interior, under the scientific guidance of Doctor Francisco Miguel Ribeiro Proença Brójo (******).
Duration and activity regime: The scholarship will last for 12 months, expected to start in January 2025. The activity will take place on an exclusive dedication basis, in accordance with the RBIUBI.

Publication/notification of results: The final results of the evaluation will be published through an ordered list, according to the final classification obtained, posted in a visible and public place at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Beira Interior, with the candidates being notified via email.

Skills/Qualifications:
Hold a Master's degree in the scientific area of Aeronautical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering;
Meet conditions to be enrolled in a cycle of studies leading to the degree of doctor or enrolled in a course that does not confer an academic degree;
Have solid knowledge of propulsion, from theoretical fundamentals to practical applications;
Possess a profile for developing work with strong components in literature review, technical writing, drawing and multimedia applications;
Have solid knowledge of English (spoken and written).
The proof of registration in the 3rd Cycle degree or in a non-degree course is required for the fellowship contractualization.
Specific Requirements: Knowledge and design experience in aerospace structures, average marks in course units attended in the field of aerospace structures and curriculum vitae appropriate to the objectives of the work plan.
Selection process:
The selection methods to be used for the Curricular Classification will be based on the following parameters and on a scale of 0 to 20:
A - final average of the course;
B - average of the grades obtained in curricular units related to the project's objectives;
C - appreciation of the Curriculum Vitae.
The final ranking of candidates will be made on a scale from 0 to 20 with the following weighting: Final Classification (CF) = 0.6 × "curricular classification" + 0.4 × "interview classification".
