Registered Veterinary Nurse – Join Our Team in Lisbon! (Hybrid Role)
We're hiring a Registered Vet Nurse to be a key part of our team. We are a pet food manufacturer and pride ourselves on the quality of advice we give to our consumers. This position sits in our customer-facing team and involves talking to customers who have particularly complex queries that require the expertise of a Registered Vet Nurse. If you are an experienced Registered Vet Nurse who wants a change of direction, and you are customer-focused while still wanting to use your excellent technical expertise to give advice to pet owners on various topics including nutrition and management of health conditions, then this could be the role you're looking for.
Position Summary
Experience of working within a busy small animal practice and/or referral clinic will enable you to provide expert advice on companion animal health, nutrition for health conditions, and well-being for pets, directly to our customers, veterinarians, and vet professionals. You will also have the opportunity for ongoing training with our vets through onsite and external courses to meet the minimum CPD requirements.
Creatively & proactively resolving customer queries to satisfaction in order to build trust through expertise and reassurance.
Communicating directly with our customers and veterinarians to offer advice and support on various topics, such as health conditions, science-led nutrition, and therapeutic diets.
Supporting team members with veterinary advice and training.
Providing a seamless service by phone, email, and video.
Adapting to changing customer demands & expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
Hold a Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing – through an EAEVE approved or accredited university at the time of your qualification.
Have a minimum of 2 years experience working within a veterinary practice, referral clinic, or small animal hospital.
Have a qualification in small animal clinical nutrition (SACN) or have the relevant continuing professional development hours of study in small animal clinical nutrition.
Excellent speaking and writing skills in English.
Be versatile, a problem solver, and have excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills are a must.
Have the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and juggle conflicting priorities - whether offering advice or resolving issues you will ensure customer satisfaction is paramount.
Have experience of building relationships with many stakeholders, in particular, veterinarian professionals.
