About the role The credit department at Revolut is anything but ordinary. They design, develop, and launch credit products across the globe. The team manages our products from day one to the end — developing the back and front-end, the data science infrastructure, and then creating a local setup in each country with scalable risk management and portfolio management solutions. It's a big old job, but our people are a credit to us all.
Unfortunately, not everything in fintech can be automated. That's where you come in. We need an Underwriter who can review our customer credit applications when there's a little more digging to be done.
You'll be a master of creditworthiness, and decide if the evidence provided meets Revolut's assessment criteria. You'll also support our collections team with forbearance applications, and get an opportunity to be involved in product and marketing management work. What you'll be doing Verifying applicants' income
Assessing their creditworthiness and identifying risks
Reviewing customer documentation and details for accuracy and authenticity
Identifying potentially fraudulent applications and escalating where required
Communicating with customers to either request or provide information relating to their credit application
Supporting collections team with assessment of forbearance applications
Helping to improve and optimise our processes
What you'll need Experience in underwriting personal credit applications
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
High level of numeracy
High level of attention to detail regarding documentation examination
Ability to work within given deadlines/SLAs
Solid understanding of lending products and practices
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
