Mission
As a Database Administrator (2nd Line Support Engineer), you will ensure the Operational IT infrastructure is maintained at the highest standards. You will work with your IT colleagues and manufacturers on the development and revision of the IT system support strategies in order to ensure our SLA and system availability targets are met, and our Service Performance is brought to a higher level.
Responsibilities
Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
Maintain optimal level of customer satisfaction
Identify all customer issues and recommend appropriate resolution
Providing 2nd-level support by: Researching
Diagnosing
Troubleshooting
Identifying solutions
Carrying out configurations
Performing upgrades
Carrying out migrations
Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
Write and maintain documentation
Being part of a 24-hour standby team
Profile
Solid and extensive knowledge of IT data center infrastructure in general. Is navigating medium to large IT environments a breeze for you, thanks to your broad knowledge of IT concepts, technology and products?
As a Database Administrator, you are responsible for the implementation of new databases and the operational management of existing databases.
You are customer-focused when it comes to the operations of the databases and you pay special attention to reliability and performance. You help clients with the transition to more recent SQL Server database versions and you know how to estimate the impact.
As a Database Administrator, you are responsible for handling the following tasks: Preparation of operational procedures for backup and recovery, tuning, integrity, reliability, and administration of database users
Providing support to the application people and assisting in setting up the internal structure of the database
Establish and follow up robust database standards
You are able to work on Databases in the Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform
Fluent in (technical) English (spoken & written)
