Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Sales Enablement team at Mercer.
This role will be based in Lisbon.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.We will count on you to:Embed closely with the vision and ways of working of the Strategic Bid Centre in the US - should be able to drive consistency and alignment with the broader goals of the Mercer US business;Project manage proposals/presentations aligned with client requirements and company branding in order to respond to client RFPs (Requests For Proposals);Develop/drive internal work plans based on external deadlines — and hold pursuit teams accountable;Obtain feedback and debriefs with client relationship manager and/or consulting team members after proposal is complete in order to evaluate what worked well and needs improvement in the process or final work product;Review drafts from team contributors for clarity, conciseness, logic, flow, tone, completeness, accuracy, precision, consistency and credibility always ensuring the strategic vision;Train, coach and manage all proposal writers on an ongoing basis to ensure the continued growth and optimal utilization of the capacity within the team;Informally manage elements of the proposal/presentation development process, assuming responsibility for management of the proposal/presentation development process components or the entirety of complex proposals and presentations;Track win-rates and facilitate opportunity strategy formulation and create the optimal proposal communication strategy, corresponding theme and graphic approach;Track performance metrics like utilization, efficiency targets for the team in Lisbon as per the expectations of the US business leaders and as mandated for the Global Services Delivery organization;Conduct regular team and performance management check-ins with direct reports.What you need to have: A degree in any business, marketing or communications related field;1 to 2 years of project management experience;Prior experience managing Sales enablement and bid management teams with a demonstrated track record of success and managing growth in delivery volumes and team expansion over time;Strong understanding of the end-to-end pursuit lifecycle and strength on project management, writing and editing skills;Ability to manage competing deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities;Close attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture;Comfort with ambiguity and frequent change;Strong leadership skills with a high sense of personal accountability and self-motivation;Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams;Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C2).What makes you stand out?Experience working in a Mercer line of business (Health, Wealth or Career);Prior project management experience with RFI/RFP/DDQs, regardless of industry;People management experience;A thirst for knowledge and passion for trying new things;Familiarity with SharePoint, Qvidian, QorusDocs, or online bid procurement tools (such as Ariba).Why join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders;We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities;Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is a global leader in helping clients realize their investment objectives, shape the future of work and enhance health and retirement outcomes for their people.
