We are looking for a Project Manager to facilitate successful implementations of Oracle Retail software by employing proven project management skills. With offices and projects worldwide, occasional travel may be necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Constantly provide leadership to both OLR and client project team members.
Define and maintain project objectives, scope, organization, timelines, and overall approach.
Constantly maintain open communication with consultants, on and off-site, through formal and informal outlets.
Provide management and produce deliverables related to the Software Development and Project Management Life Cycles. This includes overseeing all development and project deliverable work as defined in the RACI Matrix.
Regularly work with staff to ensure professional development and on-going growth and improvement.
Continually develop and monitor implementation project plans, including management of staffing, timeline, and budget considerations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships conducive to incremental business development on an on-going basis.
Constantly monitor project progress against the plan for effectiveness and accuracy.
Regularly conduct constructive meetings with the client and project teams.
Continually motivate project team by providing guidance, timelines and direction.
Regularly compile project status reports and ensure proper distribution to OLR and clients.
Facilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application issues, as needed, during project execution.
Regularly monitor project teams' schedules to ensure project progress while considering staff time off requests.
Coordinate with the technical team the go-live assessments to determine the readiness of the system as well as client and support teams.
Indirectly supervise project team, including, but not limited to, Business Consultants, Technical Consultants, and Technical Infrastructure Consultants.
Essential skills:
Demonstrable project management record in successful large-scale software implementation.
Proven experience leading teams remotely.
Demonstrated experience in participating in meetings with senior management.
Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of project management.
Understand and demonstrate financial responsibility.
Effectively identify, escalate, and manage risks.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organization.
Professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful circumstances.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
Exceptional time management skills.
PMP certification beneficial.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a Business, Computer Science or related field.
4+ years of consulting experience or participation in large-scale IT projects.
2+ years of experience leading a team.
