The ideal candidate will have experience working in a GMP-compliant manufacturing environment and possess strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures. The Production Operator will be responsible for operating equipment, monitoring production processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while producing high-quality cannabis products.
Responsibilities: Equipment Operation: Operate production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines. Set up, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality. Monitor equipment operation and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Batch Production: Follow batch records and recipes to produce cannabis products according to specifications. Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, ensuring compliance with formulation requirements. Document all production activities, including batch records, equipment logs, and production reports. Quality Control: Perform in-process checks and inspections to ensure product quality and consistency. Collect samples for testing and analysis, following established procedures and protocols. Identify and report any deviations from quality standards or GMP requirements. Cleaning and Sanitization: Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and facilities according to SOPs. Follow proper cleaning procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure product purity. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the production area at all times. Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to GMP guidelines and regulatory requirements governing cannabis production. Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in audits and inspections, providing documentation and assistance as needed. Safety and Training: Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of production processes and GMP standards. Report any safety hazards or concerns to management promptly.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the cannabis industry. Knowledge of GMP and/or GACP principles and practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements accurately. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
