THE ROLE
As the Operations Strategy Specialist - Capacity Planning, you will be an expert within a central team that focuses on the development of strategies related to the design of a high-performance capacity planning model and implementation of the processes, policies, and procedures that bring that model into reality to drive operational results on availability and quality of the fleet, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
You will be responsible for designing strategies related to capacity planning, scheduling, resource allocation, demand planning, efficiency reporting, and controlling mechanisms. You will coordinate and implement projects related to the core capabilities within those areas. You will develop alternative resource strategies that enable operation sustainability and continuous adjustment of capacity to demand. You will be a subject matter expert within the organization relative to those capabilities and you will monitor the success and business results regarding the strategies that have been put in place.
Reporting directly to the Operations Strategy Director, this role is of extreme importance to the organization and will require deep integration with other central teams and regional and local operating structures.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
Take ownership of the creation, implementation, and refinement of capacity planning strategies and processes that drive excellence operations and continuously adjust our capacity to operational needs and a clear strategy of internal and external resources that maximize sustainability and operational quality at minimum cost.
Own the creation of standard operational procedures that are integral to the training of our central and local teams regarding how the dimensioning of the teams is planned, the different organizational structures for each location dimension, the scheduling of personnel according to operational demand, among others.
Conduct in-depth analysis of operational performance data, using advanced techniques to uncover trends and insights that inform strategic decisions at the highest levels autonomously.
Develop and optimize complex models that create the basis for decision-making, such as the dimensioning model, scheduling model, among others.
Lead the design of operational processes, policies, and procedures that are executed at the regional and local levels, ensuring they meet the company's operational targets regarding efficiency.
Lead the creation and implementation of strategic projects, tracking their progress and ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope, and monitor performance to track adherence.
Lead, train, and manage the junior team members of the Operations Strategy team that are allocated to projects and initiatives that you will be coordinating. Act as a mentor and guide to less experienced analysts, sharing your expertise and helping to develop the next generation of talent within the team.
Collaborate with regional directors and local teams to adapt and apply central strategies to specific regional contexts, ensuring successful implementation and execution.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Holds a degree in Business Management, Engineering, Economics, or a similar field.
6-8 years of experience in a strategic consulting firm or a strategic role within the operations department of a company that manages physical assets or has a direct-to-final consumer business model.
In-depth knowledge of capacity planning and scheduling models.
Passion for precision and data-driven decision-making. You enjoy solving puzzles and feel a deep satisfaction when all the pieces fit perfectly and the mathematical equation is resolved.
Driven by the challenge of optimizing capacity to meet demand, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently across all regions. You thrive in mathematical-based discussions and creating scenario simulation models.
Strong ability to analyze complex data, develop insights, and translate them into actionable strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively and influence decision-making at senior levels.
Proven experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
Strong ability to collaborate across multiple teams and regions, ensuring that central strategies are effectively implemented and adapted to local contexts.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and focused on delivering results that contribute to the company's operational success.
Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
