We are looking for a bright and exceptional Infrastructure Principal Engineer to join our technology team.
The role involves building complex next-generation products used by our teams and architecting solutions to support new technical and business initiatives. The Infrastructure team is responsible for multiple functional areas which include Access & Identity Management, Linux Compute, Discovery, Networking, Observability, SDLC, & Storage, built on top of AWS, which provides the foundation upon which our customer-facing financial technology platform builds and runs. Infrastructure is a high-impact engineering team that builds new services, automates systems, integrates cloud & open-source software, and operates critical systems depending on the firm's needs.
What you'll do:
Demonstrate strong technical breadth/depth, driving innovation, evaluating new technologies, and deciphering the technical vision for engineering teams.
Own key contributions to technical design and architecture decisions, considering trade-offs of choices, managing risk, making decisions independently where appropriate, and presenting reasoned options for decision-making by others.
Lead the way by writing exemplary code, documentation, and RFCs.
Identify, propose, develop, deploy, and own R&D projects in accordance with the technical vision and needs of the team, turning problem statements into solutions, and operating independently as needed.
Design systems and solutions that take into account and/or improve key metrics (e.g. quality, cost, availability, scalability, reliability).
Mentor and coach engineers in their subdepartment and influence the broader Technology organization.
Main requirements 5 to 13 Years of relevant technology domain experience;
Good knowledge of Kerberos , access and identity management, web technologies and AWS
Proficient in configuring/developing tools and solutions for infrastructure teams with exposure to Linux, Kubernetes and AWS (mandatory) ;
Proficient in writing and reviewing both Python and Java
Good understanding of working with distributed teams using Agile: Scrum, Kanban
Strong technology acumen, knowledge of software engineering processes, design knowledge, web application development and architecture intelligence
Superior project management skills to ensure high-quality and timely solution delivery
Attention to detail and quality, and the ability to work well in and across teams
Ability to advocate & influence multiple stakeholders
Ability to learn new domains and deliver output
Experience leading a team of highly skilled engineers
Excellent analytical, reasoning, and strong communication skills.
