Position OverviewThe IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer is a pivotal role within the IT department, responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure and ensuring robust security through the administration of Palo Alto Networks and Panorama. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing both network and security infrastructures to support business operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IT infrastructure management, strong expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, and a strategic mindset for enhancing the organization's security posture.

Key Responsibilities: IT Infrastructure Management:Design, deploy, and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization environments.Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of IT systems.Oversee IT projects, such as infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and technical documentation.Network and Security Management:Manage, configure, and monitor Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama for centralized management.Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data and systems.Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.Monitor and respond to security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams and stakeholders.Technical Support and Troubleshooting:Provide advanced technical support for IT infrastructure and security systems.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues.Coordinate with vendors and third-party support for advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution.Security and Compliance:Ensure IT infrastructure adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with security policies.Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with various departments to understand and address their IT and security needs.Communicate IT policies and security updates to the organization.Provide training and support to staff on IT infrastructure and security tools.Strategic IT Planning:Assess current IT and security capabilities and recommend improvements.Develop and implement IT and security strategies aligned with business objectives.Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT infrastructure and security.Qualifications Technical Expertise:In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage, virtualization).Strong expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama.Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and switching.Experience with security tools and technologies (VPNs, IDS/IPS, anti-malware, etc.).Security and Compliance:Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).Experience conducting security assessments and audits.Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues.Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical problems.Project Management:Experience managing IT and security projects from initiation to completion.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Communication and Interpersonal Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.Strategic Thinking:Ability to align IT and security strategies with business goals.Proactive in identifying opportunities for technology and security improvements.Experience:A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security management.Relevant certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Professional, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.Education:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
