A Snapshot of Your Day In our HVDC Communication Team, we are implementing, testing and verifying the hardware and software for our innovative HVDC projects in our test facility and ensure a proper communication of our HVDC stations worldwide during commissioning. Our diverse and multinational teams are working closely together with project management, system and equipment engineering as well as with end customers to provide customized solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.
How You'll Make an Impact Responsible for the technically flawless, timely and economical implementation of the commissioning of HVDC systems on site (worldwide), in particular for data networks and individual components of network communication.
Responsible for the commissioning, support and control of the network infrastructure, which is usually based on TCP/IP, the HMI concept and its appropriate adaptation.
Responsible for time synchronization as well as the local and remote signal converter and thus the interface to all other signal suppliers involved.
Supporting the other commissioning components as well as customers and external partners in troubleshooting and testing the communication interfaces.
Support the commissioning management in quality, risk and claims management.
Participation in improvement programs (including Lean, Reviews and Lessons Learned).
What You Bring Completed training or studies in the field of electrical or information technology or comparable qualification.
At least 3 years of experience in this field of expertise.
Good knowledge of network administration (switches, routers, etc.), HMI basics and PC administration (hardware and virtualization).
Knowledge of network security and monitoring.
Knowledge of network protocols (including TCP/IP, RADIUS).
Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
Good knowledge of English; knowledge of German desirable.
Knowledge of circuit diagrams and electrical systems.
Willingness to travel worldwide and work on construction sites at home and abroad, as well as optionally work on offshore platforms.
