You are the driving force behind the implementation of data management practices in the Locational Data Domain. Your goal is to bring its data under governance by defining a roadmap of data initiatives and setting these plans into motion to build the domain's data foundations, embed data governance practices, and drive data excellence within your domain. You contribute to refining the Data Domain's strategy (North Star), so all efforts are in service of Siemens Energy's key goals and support the efforts of other Data Domain Managers across the Siemens Energy Data Landscape. The Locational Data Domain is critical to Siemens Energy, with much of its data being consumed by the entire organization at a time when many digital programs require clear mentorship to consume and make data available to others that is trusted, well defined, and secure.
In your day to day, you build a close collaboration with the Digital Core team; build a positive relationship with the other Data Domain Managers and work closely with Data Stewards to assess progress on key breakthroughs and prioritize urgent data quality issues. You strategize data integration efforts with IT teams to ensure flawless data flow across systems and engage with business partners to align on data management objectives and present updates to the Data Governance Council.
How You'll Make An Impact Represent the Location Data Domain across the organization and in data governance bodies.
Collaborate with leadership to identify business needs and mobilize efforts for all data subject areas within the domain.
Develop and implement a data management roadmap for the Location Data Domain to meet business and regulatory requirements.
Drive the implementation of data management frameworks to enhance data availability, quality, and reliability, clarifying ownership for master and reference data.
Build a strong data governance operating model, identifying and formalizing data stewardship roles.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure alignment and integration of data management practices, promoting data quality and interoperability, and optimally connect with customers to drive cultural change.
What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
At least 8 years of experience in data management, data governance, or related field, preferably in the energy sector with Location data concepts.
Solid understanding and successful implementation of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and regulatory compliance.
Experience in large, sophisticated organizations, driving data initiatives, and collaborating with other data governance roles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and partner management skills.
Ability to translate sophisticated data management concepts into actionable strategies; comprehensive understanding of Siemens Energy and meaningful experience in data governance are highly desired.
