The role:
Convatec is looking for a full time, permanent Cash Application Team Leader working from our Lisbon office.
The Cash Application Team Lead manages a team of cash application associates who are responsible for the daily application of cash, processing, and reconciliation of customer payments. The Team lead is also responsible for ensuring the following:
Research and resolution of unapplied and unidentified cash postings.
Review of AR postings to ensure payments are applied correctly and appropriately.
Reconciliation and adjustments related to prior payments posted as well as auditing and correction of rejected payments.
This position holds additional duties with respect to research and participation in root cause analysis and identifying process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of cash application associates.
Timely Month End Closing.
Follow up and resolution of unallocated and unidentified cash postings as well as unallocated/unidentified cash reporting.
Develop new process efficiencies.
Work closely with Collections, Credit Management and Customer service teams to resolve cash application issues.
Drive for resolution of reoccurring cash application issues.
Maintain reporting and dashboards.
Skills & Experience:
Working knowledge of cash application processes.
Working knowledge of SAP.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook.
Previous experience working in a GBS environment.
Experience managing a team - preferable OTC.
Emagia/Highradius/AR Collect (preferred).
Strong Leadership, Team Work and People Management skills.
Excellent Planning and Organization, anticipating and resolving potential issues in an effective and timely manner.
